Tamworth trainer Richard Williams will be on the run on Friday night with six runners across the nine race Tamworth harness meeting.

“Lucky I only have to walk 100 metres to the track,” joked Williams who has set up his barn and is training 12 horses at the Tamworth Paceway.
“We will get them (horses) done all in one hit on Friday night.”
Williams is keen to see a winner produced out of his stables and here he shares some insight into his runners.
The Puritan, having his second start for the stables, will kick the night off from barrier eight in the Perc Verning Memorial.
“I like the horse – I think he will be our best bet for the night,” Williams said of the former Hunter Valley pacer who finished third at Newcastle last week in the gelding’s first start for the stables.
“There is a stack of speed off the front-line which will suit us.”
The Sam Ison Memorial will see stablemates Tibytoa and Itsnewstome pitted against each other.
Tibytoa has drawn the six barrier whilst Itsnewstome is out of barrier eight.
“We just can’t get a good barrier with this one,” Williams remarked of Tibytoa.
“His last three starts at Tamworth he has drawn the six barrier so its probably not his race again.”
“In his (Tibytoa) last two runs at Newcastle he has gone 1.55 himself in races but just had no luck in running to be able to win.”
Itsnewstome has drawn the nine barrier and is resuming from a spell.
“This is his first run back from a spell which is exciting – he seems all good and he is as honest as they come,” he said.
Campbells Best will commence from the six barrier in the following event – the Stockman’s Supplies Pace.
“He is no superstar by any means and he is up against it,” Williams said.
“He has come from a maiden to a C2.”
The Revenue Raiser will also be having his second start for the Williams’ stables in the Lest We Forget-ANZAC 2018 Pace.
“He had the one start for us and that was at Maitland,” Williams said.
That was on April 16 and saw the gelding finish sixth.
“We have put a pen thru that run as he has improved since then,” he said.
“I think he will be handy but he is only a one pace horse so depends on how the race is run.”
Ryabby will be on debut for the stables in the TAB Pace over 1980m where the gelding will commence from the five barrier.
“This is his first race start for us – he has been working super this week,” Williams said.
“It is a tricky draw and I think I can get the chair from the draw.”
