Hastings College scored at better than a run a ball in their 40 overs to set Oxley a total of 242 to chase.
Instead of being daunted by the task, the cricketers took a carefree attitude into their innings with the bat to chase the runs with two balls to spare.
The win was built around century-maker Lara Graham who was in incredible nick for Oxley.
“Lara, she got 121, she was the rock to our innings,” Oxley High teacher Ryan Whitton said.
“Then there were a fair few starts in the teens to help support and a couple 80-run partnerships which really helped the progression of things.
“The girls were just having a bit of fun, they didn't give themselves much of a chance until, probably, halfway through our innings and they realised ‘we're not far off the money’.”
Whitton was impressed how the side came together.
“Majority of our team are non-cricketers still. It makes it even more impressive to get so far,” Whitton said.
“We’ve only got three girls that play full time. The rest play a bit at school cricket or haven’t played at all.”
The girls will now head to Bathurst for the top four knockout on March 27-28.
Oxley High School will take on Kirrawee High School for a spot in the final.
The other semi-final will see Hill Sports High School and Hay War Memorial High School face off.
The two winners and the two losers will then play the following day.
