She’s known for her showmanship and can leave fans in stitches with her banter and stories behind her many hits.

The multi-award wining artist is heading back to Tamworth for two shows in 2018 and they’re both at the Blazes Showroom at Wests’ League Club.

“I’m really looking forward to it, I love Tamworth,” she told The Leader.

“This year is actually 25 years since winning Toyota Star Maker for me,” she said.

“I love these two shows, I’ve been doing a residency for Blazes in these time slots since Ricky (her son) was a baby and he’s now 18.”

Cole said there’ll be some surprises on her set list this year after working on some new material in 2017.

She’s also performing with all girl band, the Sisters of Twang.

Her first show will be held on Saturday, January 20 from 5pm and Judah Kelly will be the special guest.

On Friday, January 26 she’ll be joined by the Hussy Hicks from 8.30pm.

She’s just come off the back of a tour with Adam Harvey to promote their album The Great Country Songbook Volume II.

“It’s been awesome, touring with Adam is something I really love to do and we’ve enjoyed playing in big theatres around Australia,” she said.

“We were a bit sad to say goodbye.”

As for coming back to Tamworth, Cole said she is still as excited for the 2018 festival as her very first one.

“It’s a favourite and something we love doing as artists,” she said.

“I still get that excited feeling flying into Tamworth.

“It still has that same attraction and excitement and there are so many people in the town at the one time that love my style of music as much as I love it.

“I enjoy performing the music and enjoy watching the artists it’s such a thrill. 

“You always discover something new, it’s so exciting.”

As far as checking out other acts goes, Cole said she has Stuie French’s Picker’s night at the top of her list.
