About 5.20pm Saturday, the helicopter landed at Coonabarabran hospital to retrieve a 59-year-old woman, who had been rushed there by ambulance.
It is believed the woman fell from a ladder or stairs, in which she sustained a serious head injury.
The woman was flown to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle in a serious condition.
Early this morning, a spokesman for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter confirmed the helicopter had overnight transported a 55-year-old woman from Walcha to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
The woman had reportedly sustained multiple injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Thunderbolt's Way, south of Walcha, the spokesman said.
It comes as Operation Safe Arrival kicked off last week, with double demerits to run until midnight on New Years Day.
