Last week, Armidale rd resident Leone Clark turned to Facebook to help solve the riddle of the roo tails, although despite some solid, and some not so solid theories, the mystery continues.
“The first one, a few months ago, was all bone with no meat on it, although since then they have been in different states of decomposition, and they are not small, some of them are huge,” Mrs Clark said.
“Our house does back on to the river so the theory is that someone around here is hunting and cutting the tails off – We don’t know if they are giving them to dogs or whether they are disposing of them in the river and some dogs or foxes, or something, are dragging them up.
We have been here for 30 years and it has never happened before - we have only just got rid of the bats.

The Clarks first concern was that the tails were baited, and they are now planning on calling the police to help solve the mystery.
