Kellett took over from Doug Crowell – who became patron of the vets – and one of his first orders of business was to spread the workload around.
There is now a separate committee for each of the three – over 50s, over 60s and over 70s – age groups.
“We have three different age groups set up with a vice president for each of them and off those, a committee as well,” Kellett said.
“Each group goes and does their stuff, organises their stuff and then one person reports back [to the main committee].”
The players have been training on Sundays in preparation for games.
The 50s and 60s sides will take to the field in trial matches on September 24.
The two teams will take on Armidale sides over in Armidale before competition matches and carnivals start later in the year.
