Tamworth-baker Benjamin Halliday was recently named the best in NSW at Coles’ first national bakery awards.
“I was over the moon when I was named as a New South Wales finalist,” Mr Halliday said.
“I’m so happy that the passion and pride I put into my creations is paying off.”
Representing NSW, Mr Halliday competed for the national title baking a range of savoury and sweet treats, as well as a unique creation which saw the Tamworth baker serve up his ‘Hawaiian Hideaway’ pizza scroll.
There are more than 2000 qualified bakers employed in Coles supermarkets in Australia.
