The decision was made at a club meeting on Wednesday night.
McDonald replaces Mark Stewart as president after Stewart stood down about six months into the voluntary position.
“Min has been women’s development officer since the last AGM and has done an outstanding job in this capacity,” TCC spokesman Luke O’Connor said.
Breanna Chillingworth-Leyden is the new women’s development officer. Katrina Telfer will assist her in the role.
Along with Chillingworth-Leyden, Airlie Horton is a new board member serving as assistant race coordinator.
“These new appointments have given two extra positions on the board,” O’Connor said.
“With so many new and enthusiastic people involved in the club, we have a very positive future.”
