The Australian-born, US-based singer-songwriter-actress, best known for her leading role as Scarlett O’Connor on the TV series Nashville, has announced that she will return home to play an extensive ten-date concert series around the country this July.
Just last year, Clare embarked on her debut Australian tour and completely sold out seven east coast dates almost instantaneously. 2017 will see her take in some of the country’s premiere theatre venues, beginning at Adelaide’s Her Majesty’s Theatre on Monday, July 3, and continuing through capital cities and regional centers alike, including stops at Tamworth’s Blazes on Tuesday, July 11 and Toowoomba’s Empire Theatre on Thursday, July 13.
Years before launching her career as a singer-songwriter, a young Clare Bowen was growing up in rural Australia, miles from the nearest city, writing down everything she felt, heard, saw and dreamed.
“Music was my connection to the rest of the world,” Clare said.
“I was brought up on my parents vinyl collection - everything from Vivaldi, to Elvis, to Dolly, to Springsteen, Edith Piaf and Etta James.”

Raised on the South Coast of NSW, Clare Bowen appeared in local programs Home and Away, All Saints, and The Cut.
It was her starring role in highly controversial film The Combination though, that shot Clareto critical acclaim, placing her firmly on the map, to be followed by a role alongside Ryan Kwanten in 2012's local feature film, Not Suitable For Children.
Relocating to the United States shortly thereafter, Clare caught her big break in 2012, employing her stunning vocals as singer-songwriter Scarlett O'Connor on Nashville.
Clare has performed at some of the world’s most iconic music venues, including Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, along with two sets at this year’s prestigious Sundance Music & Film Festival.
She is currently juggling time in the studio recording her anticipated debut album, alongside her Nashville filming commitments.
She has been writing and recording with A-list producers on this project and hopes to release it this year. Earlier in the year, the starlet partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and released her first solo song.
Love Steps In, penned by Clare’s fiancé Brandon Robert Young and the couple’s friend Justin Halpin, is a tribute to her younger brother, Timothy James Bowen, who spent all of 2016 fighting end-stage cancer.
The beautiful song has touched many people around the world and is accompanied by a powerful music video. Timothy is now in remission and will be opening the tour for Clare.
