The Power revelled in the heavy conditions to topple last year’s grand finalists by 28 points at the SCG.
Following a tight first-half, Port gained the upper hand on the back of a five-goal to two third term.
With prime mover Ollie Wines and captain Travis Boak in game 200 at the forefront, the Power raced away to prevail 17.8 (110) to 12.10 (82) despite four goals from Swans ace Lance Franklin.
Gunnedah export Naismith had an enthralling duel in the ruck against Paddy Ryder, playing his first AFL game since 2015.
Naismith continues his illustrate his emergence on the elite scene, finishing with nine possessions, three marks, five tackles and a game-high 34 hit outs.
“We didn’t have a lot of players win their positions, and that includes our experienced players,” Sydney coach John Longmire said.
