Tingha also had double joy as they prepare to host the next round, the Untouchables beating the Armidale Rams 24-0 and then overcoming the Deadly Yinnars 12-6 on the back of classy half-back Chokita Brown.
Brown scored all three of their tries, the second coming right on half-time after a slicing 60m run by one of the Untouchable players.
The Deadlies managed to scramble back and eventually bring her down, and held out for a couple of tackles but couldn’t stop a quick-stepping Brown only metres out.
It gave them an 8-nil lead at the break.
The Tamworth side cut that back to two points but the Untouchables showed some silky skills to claim their second win of the day.
The Rebels meanwhile mixed impenetrable defence with some brilliant attack.
They didn’t concede a point as they clocked up wins over Armidale (32-nil) and the Mustangs (38-nil).
“They played really well,” Rebels co-coach Geoff Sharpe said.
The Deadly Yinnars joined them on the winners list for the day with a 28-4 win over the Mustangs.
