Mr Hawley is a manager at Hart Rural in Manilla’s main street, but he’s been taking his phone calls on the side of the road near Attunga.
“I’m sitting on the side of the road near Attunga listening to messages and returning calls,” Mr Hawley told The Leader.
“It’s a huge inconvenience, I could be taking calls in the office and working at the same time.
“If you don’t return calls, they’ll just ring the next bloke.”
Mr Hawley – along with a number of Manilla businesses – has been dealing with setbacks as the town reels from another extended mobile outage.

The Manilla businessman has been without EFTPOS in his shop, meaning he had to send some customers out to get cash and even turn a few away.
“It’s hard to put numbers on it,” he said.
“We’re still chasing payments from the last outage.
“They’ll be good for it, but we’ve got to chase them, sometimes they can forget or just get busy.”
