The club will stage its second race meeting for the new season and first of 12 twilight meetings.
“We’ve got much better dates overall,” THRC administration manager Karen Fox said.
“We’ve got 13 Sunday race meetings this season and we’ve got some Friday and Saturday nights, which we haven’t had in the past.”
Sunday’s meeting is the club’s annual Wests Race Day. Wests have been in the lead-up running a competition for a double pass to get the full VIP treatment at the meeting. Entry for Wests members is also free.
Gates open at 4.15pm with the first of eight races getting underway at 5.49pm.
“The fields are terrific,” Fox said.
“We’ve got full fields with emergencies in six out of the eight races and maximum fields (10) in all races.”
The best grade race is the Star Maker Cafe Pace for C3 to C4, which will feature the in-form Iownaturbo.
