The Festival is held annually in conjunction with the fundraising Westpac Rescue Helicopter Mountain Bike Challenge, and Sunday provides a rare opportunity to spend time in the stately grounds of the Langford Homestead on Thunderbolts Way.
On Saturday events take place around delightful McHattan Park, with the PKF Walcha Road Ride Challenge, Walcha Billy Cart Derby and Farmers Market. In Derby Street, the local Antique shop will also run a Trash n Treasure Market.
The historic homestead Langford plays host to all the festivities on Sunday from 9 AM including live music; Australian Wool Fashion Awards Parades; vintage cars and motorcycles; guided tours of Langford; craft beers and boutique wine; remote controlled model ships; market stalls and the Walcha Quilt Exhibition.
The popular mobile children’s rock climbing wall will be back again and this year there will be a Family (or friends) Rock Climbing Relay Competition to find the fastest team up the wall according to Walcha tourism officer Lisa Kirton.
