The bright, splash of yellow brought some smiles back to the accommodation facility, where people from across the region are facing their own battles with cancer.
Inala House accommodation and support service coordinator Shaen Fraser said the free daffodils reestablished the homely feel at the facility.
“We aim for [Inala House] to be a home away from home, and the daffodils gave it a nicer feel” Ms Fraser said.
Ms Fraser said the flowers served as a timely reminder of hope for patients and their families and “reminds them there are people trying to help defeat this disease,” she said.
Ms Fraser said research has come leaps and bounds since Daffodil Day was launched 30 years ago.
“How they treat cancer now is different to how it was five years ago,” she said.
