It’s the last Ford Falcon XR6 to be delivered to Wagga and proud owner Pete Pring-Shambler was happy to be handed the keys on Friday.
The ute is the latest in the Ford fanatic’s collection, which includes a ’69 Mustang and a 1920 Model-T.
“I was always planning to get one of the last ones,” Mr Pring-Shambler said.
The self-employed aircraft engineer said it marked a sad chapter in the Australian car manufacturing industry.
Hillis Motor Group sales manager Wayne Gardner said it was good to see the last delivered Falcon go to a loyal customer.
“I’m not sure what the future holds, but the Falcon will be hard to replace,” he said.
Mr Pring-Shambler said he hoped to pass down the car to his children one day.
