West Tamworth president John Ball said Saturday’s rainy periods affected the doubles matches in the men’s, women’s and mixed
competitions.
“We were washed about three times during the morning and early afternoon and then finally for good at about 2.30pm,”Ball said.
“This morning we’ve been able to finish off most of those matches and start on our mixed competitions.
“All in all, it’s been pretty good. We ended up with 65 players and almost 200 entries.”
