Support workers and members of Billabong Clubhouse have been hard at work transforming the front of its headquarters into a field of daffodils this week, in support of the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea.
From intricate cardboard cutouts to scrap-iron daffodils, the clubhouse has gone all out to support the big event.
“We’ve done it for a couple of years, but this year we’ve gone the extra mile,” support worker Kevin Rooney said.
“The members have done some cutouts; we’ve also made flowers out of scrap metal.
“This year we decided for days such as this, we would get involved in decorating the front of Billabong.
“Our last day was Anzac Day and we made poppies, so now we’re just following through.”
Mr Rooney said it was Billabong Clubhouse’s way of giving back to the community.
