Aaron Curry, 29, appeared in Tamworth Local Court last week on six charges, including stealing property in a home, damaging property, arson and larceny, after several incidents over three separate days in 2013.
Police allege Curry damaged four tyres on a car at Tamworth about 2.30am on April 21, 2013, and all four tyres on another vehicle at Nemingha shortly after.
Curry then allegedly set fire to a hay shed at Nemingha which not only destroyed the shed but also 3500 bales of hay, between 3am and 6am on April 25, 2013.
He’s also accused of smashing a glass window of a home on Nundle Rd and stealing a pet rabbit at Nemingha in the early hours of the same day.
Police will allege in court the damage bill runs into the tens of thousands of dollars.
Following investigations into the matters, Oxley police travelled to Singleton earlier this year where Curry was arrested and charged on January 7.
The court heard Curry, who was granted conditional bail by police after his arrest, is now living in Singleton.
Solicitor Fiona Hadlington said her client was pleading not guilty to all charges and had participated in an electronically recorded interview with police.
“The sergeant has probably realised that these are 2013 matters,” she told the court.
“They are old matters.”
Magistrate Roger Prowse ordered police to compile a brief of evidence before the case returns to court in March.
Curry remains on conditional bail.
