“It was a very successful festival,” store director Eifla Hardman said.

“Sales were great and we had great exposure.

“We had a lot of return customers from last year. 

“That has a rippling effect to our online store.”

The store director said stocking designer kaftan maker Camilla was a big drawcard for shoppers.

Ms Hardman said the shop’s previous location on Brisbane St would get a lot of foot traffic wandering through while waiting for buses during the festival.

While this was a successful year for the shop, Ms Hardman said there was still a lot to be done to make sure the block between Brisbane and Bourke streets was an attractive destination for festival-goers.

Ms Hardman said local retailers “were crazy not to get behind the festival”, with the sheer number of potential customers it brought in.
