The new festival royalty were chosen after a final round of judging in which the 13 quest entrants were quizzed about their views on topics which ranged from sports to music and farm aid.
It was the culmination of eight days of judging for the women aged 18 to 35 in which their people skills, confidence and maturity were put to the test at a series of official events. They also had to take part in a formal interview.
The queen and princess will be ambassadors for the city until the end of the 2017 Tamworth festival.
Their reign starts early today when they ride in the festival cavalcade and then head to the Golden Guitar Awards tonight.
The Queen of Country Music quest is proudly sponsored by The Northern Daily Leader.
