"We've been doing the house concerts for 20 years around Australia," Merelyn said.
"People enjoy the experience of getting to know people and they come wanting to hear about your family."
Merelyn said this was her and David's 19th festival and they always welcomed special guests to the concert.
"We always have special guests drop in and we've had Dianna Corcoran, Lyn Bowtell, Paul Costa drop in, in the past," she said.
"We always introduce younger artists, too. We have people who book in from year-to-year and it's a great chance to catch up with them."
For the house concert, call 0416 075 638 to book your ticket.
They will play the intimate shows today and Thursday.
David said their other highlight was the Shine Showcase for young artists on Wednesday at the Capitol Theatre.
"There are a lot of competitions they go in where they are choosing songs because of the competition, but on the showcase they can do songs they want to sing," he said.
"We provide the backing to do it, with major supporters Ross and Robyn Johnson and Country Music Capital News and this is the fourth Shine Showcase. It's a way they can bond with other young musicians.
The year ahead will also include plenty of young people as they run songwriting workshops in schools.
"We've put a program together where we can write a song in two hours," Merelyn said.
The program started as they were working with World Vision and the Artesian Foundation in remote communities.
They are focusing on this work in the next 12 months.
