Owned by Graze Restaurant principal Charles Hanna, the building has been renovated for new tenants, Debbie Shaw and her daughters Hannah and Kylie.
Mrs Shaw, from Quirindi, plans to offer fresh produce and gourmet groceries, and said today’s opening was something they’d all worked hard towards.
“We are very keen to be part of the Willow Tree business community and couldn’t wait to open the doors,” Mrs Shaw said.
Mrs Shaw, who also owns Shaw’s Fruit and Veg in Quirindi, said it would still be business as usual there once the new shop opened.
In recent years, Willow Tree has undergone quite a facelift, with the injection of Mr Hanna’s enthusiasm, style, vision and considerable monetary investment.
His award-winning restaurant and accommodation facility, complemented by existing businesses Georgie Brown’s, Cafe 2339, Willow Tree Cafe, and now The Plains Pantry, will only further cement the town’s title as a “foodie” destination.
