Police were called to Borthwick St in Inverell about 3.10am yesterday after reports a vehicle had crashed through two fences.
A 19-year-old woman, who police will allege was behind the wheel of the silver Holden Commodore, failed a roadside breath test and was arrested at the scene. She was taken to Inverell Police Station and allegedly recorded a reading more than three times the legal limit.
The 19-year-old was charged with high-range PCA, being an unaccompanied learner driver and driving an unregistered vehicle.
The woman had her learner’s licence suspended and will front court later this month.
