On Friday night in the 1000 metre individual time trial, the 31-year-old rode his best time on the board track clocking 1min 11.7secs to take the bronze medal behind gold medallist Mathew Mooney (Randwick Botany Cycling Club), and silver medallist Jonathan Millington (Hunter District).
The Baiocchi Griffin Private Wealth Cycling team member has had a brilliant summer of track racing including two major Wheel Race wins.
On Saturday he raced in the 10km Scratch Race and rode well to take out the silver medal.
“I’m really happy that my form is holding and pleased that I could bring home two medals,” Bartlett said.
“While the time trial is only a kilometre long, the last 250m is really tough.” he added.
Team Manager Ray Griffin said Bartlett had given the team a great start to the 2015 year.
“Jeremy’s wins at Gosford and Dubbo and now his two medals at the state championships have given us a fantastic start to the year.” Griffin said.
“He’ll now race in the time trial and the sprint at the Australian championships next week and we’re hoping his good form continues.”
Bartlett and team manger Ray Griffin, who is recovering from illness, will be the only Baiocchi Greffin Wealth team members not riding in Saturday’s Kermesse in Newcastle.
“The rests of the team is riding,” Griffin said.
“Darren Traill and Jack Pianta are riding B Grade while Mitch Carrington, Phil Kelaher, Glenn Mathike and Mick Sherwood are in A Grade or Division 1.”
