“Don’t think that someone else will nominate a deserving person – if you know someone who makes a contribution to their community, please take the time to nominate them. Completing the nomination form only takes a few minutes but it can mean so much to someone who has their many hours of effort acknowledged,” mayor Col Murray said.
Barraba is seeking nominations for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year.
Manilla will award a Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year.
The people of Nundle and district are invited to nominate a Citizen of the Year , Junior Citizen of the Year (up to 25 years old), Community Organisation or Event, Sports Award, Community Achievement Award or Hero and Community Appreciation Award.
Tamworth presents awards for a Citizen of the Year and George Nethery Medal to a person aged over 30 years of age, Young Citizen of the Year for a person aged 30 years and under and the Mitchell Brady Encouragement Award to a student who attends high school.
