The Greater Northern Under 16s are the first to go.
They train at Scully Park in Tamworth under coaches Garry Jones and Mark Wilton on Friday night.
Jones and Wilton took the side to the Country Championship Final last year, only to fall to Bidgee Bulls at the last hurdle.
They have another strong side selected for a team to play the Southern Stingrays in Wollongong on the June long weekend, Greater Northern regional manager Scott Bone said.
He said the Matt Parsons-coached GN Under 18s also have a strong side which also plays Southern Stingrays in their opening Country Championship clash at Wollongong on the long weekend.
They will train and have a camp at Werris Creek on Saturday afternoon.
The side will also have an opposed session against the Ron Dellar-coached Werris Creek Magpies.
Darryl Rando’s senior Greater Northern side will also train at Werris Creek next Tuesday night.
They have drawn Western in their opening game of the Tier 2 Country Championships at Singleton’s ResCo Park.
Group 21 players dominate the GN Tigers side after winning the Jim Sharpe Cup in Tamworth last weekend.
Wins over Group 19 and Group 4 enabled the Group 21 side to supply 13 players in the 18-man squad.
That squad will be finalised after this weekend’s round of matches in Groups 4, 19 and 21, with the Tuesday training session topping off preparations for the Country Championship clash in Singleton.
Rando said his squad would go into camp on Friday week as well and hopes to use a simple game plan based on teamwork and players working for each other.
