When he left his new home in Nashville he was scraping ice off the windows, so he’s not only soaking up the music in Tamworth, he’s also loving the warm weather.
He’s headed back on January 31, though, so we only get to enjoy his music for a short time.
Sam recorded most of his new offering, Baby Baby Baby, in the US with his new musical friends in Nashville with the rest done in his best mate Matt Fell’s studio in Sydney and Matt mixed the album.
It’s taken his music to the next level and he’s sure to win plenty of fans through it in Tamworth and beyond.
Over the past year he’s been kicking plenty of goals in the US, getting on tours with artists including Sixpence None The Richer, Terri Clark and Sunny Sweeney and produced albums for Sunny Cowgirls, The Harmonators and half of Adam Brand’s album.
Sam said he was enjoying his time in Nashville because there was plenty for him to do.
This year he will tour with David Nail and produce albums for Amber Joy Poulton and Courtney Conway, with the list constantly growing.
While he’s still in Tamworth, catch him opening for Adam Brand at his 1.30pm family show at Wests and then he’s the musical director for the Toyota Star Maker Grand Final band at 6.30pm in Bicentennial Park.
