The NBN Co Discovery Truck will be stationed in the city during the first few days of the country music festival.
It will demonstrate the many benefits of the NBN and answer any questions locals might have about the rollout in their area.
The truck, a 23-tonne mobile interactive demonstration centre, will give residents the chance to learn about the benefits the NBN will deliver homes and businesses in the region.
It showcases what the super-fast broadband connection can deliver through interactive outdoor displays, high definition screens, cameras and audio equipment.
NBN Co Discovery Truck manager Amy Jaballah said they have been visiting communities across Australia for the past two years, answering residents’ questions.
She said residents in areas surrounding Tamworth had already accessed the benefits high-speed internet offered with NBN Co’s fixed wireless services.
“With other Tamworth residents set to connect in the coming years, this is a great opportunity for locals to find out more about how to access services, as well as learn about the broader health, education and business benefits it can offer,” Ms Jaballah said.
“The feedback from people already signed up is that they enjoy using services provided over the NBN to work from home and take advantage of entertainment on demand via the internet.”
Ms Jaballah said connecting to the NBN was more affordable than people might think.
“So it’s worth coming down and finding out more,” she said.
The truck can be found in Kable Ave, between Fitzroy and White streets, until Tuesday .
