Manilla members of the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association (NSWNMA) are leading the charge for NSW Health to implement nurse-to-patient ratios in all multi-purpose services in the state.

The nurses rallied on the weekend to share their concerns with the town.
A number of political aspirants, including Shooters, Fishers and Farmers candidate Jeff Bacon and Labor hopeful Stephen Mears supported the NSWNMA protest.
The Manilla NSWNMA members claim current staffing levels in the town’s hospital are putting patient safety at risk and are urgently calling on the government to introduce a more reliable staffing system.
