Flavours on Fitzroy made the most of the recently revamped mall area, and helped to kick off this year’s Taste Festival in style.
The free street party was a “celebration of the diverse range of cuisines on offer across our region” said organisers.
Meanwhile on Sunday, Taste in the Park, will see 58 stalls set up in Tamworth’s Bicentennial Park, where visitors are being invited to “sample regional food, meet the producers or relax in the garden bar whilst the kids enjoy free activities at Bite Size”.
Taste is a ten day showcase of local food, wine and produce and will also include the Farm Gate Trail and, for the first time this year, a High Tea in the Tamworth Botanic Gardens on Piper Street, from 1pm on Tuesday April 10.
The signature event, The Long Lunch will be held in Tamworth’s Anzac Park on Sunday April 15, will involve some of the region’s leading chefs in a collaboration of regional produce.
