Tamworth and Gunnedah locals flocked to Lake Keepit on Sunday for a spot of fishing.
All decked out with camp chairs, boats and gazebos, the day was a family affair for many with adults and kids alike casting a line on the Lake Keepit shore.
Meanwhile competitors converged on the Dam at the weekend for the PIRTEK Fishing Challenge, a national fishing competition.
The Challenge was a major fundraising initiative for Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) to help raise vital funds for prostate cancer research, awareness initiatives and support programs.
Similar competition events were held across the nation on the day.
