“We note that the WA Nationals have recently released a statement regarding Barnaby Joyce,” a NSW Nationals spokesperson said.
“The NSW Nationals have always considered that the leadership of the Federal Nationals is at the discretion of the Federal Party Rooms.
“Further commentary on this issue in the public domain is unhelpful.”
NSW Nationals leader John Barilaro and Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall echoed the comments during a press conference in Ebor.
“The Nationals across state parliament will always support the federal leader, but the leadership of the federal National party is a matter for the federal National MPs who get to vote on the leadership of that party,” Mr Marshall said.
