The first night of the Gunnedah Premier League provided the many locals in attendance with big shots, class bowling and exciting fielding.
Game one saw the Imperial Hotel Tigers do battle with the Sign Print Stitch Stars.
After winning the toss and batting first the Imperial Tigers stumbled early due to the loss of back-to-back wickets.
Nathan Millar and Kaleb McIlveen fell in consecutive deliveries leaving the tigers at two for 10.
Kyle Gallen (27) top scored for the Tigers with the help of a solid knock from young Zach Clarke who remained unbeaten at the end of the innings with 22.
Chief destroyer for the Stars was Brad Gander who’s three for 11 off four overs helped contain the Tigers to just 95 off their 20 overs.
In reply the Stars comfortably got to their target of 96 with three overs remaining.
In the second game of the evening, the LR Golf & Sports/SED Spinnerbaits Strikers lead by Brad Jenkinson (59) chased down the Tamba Industrial Bulls total of 5 for 122 in the final over of the game with 8 wickets in hand.
