After smoking 31 runs from 18 balls, van Aanholt picked up the new rock and helped pull apart the Coffs top order with 3-11 from six overs.
The performance handed van Aanholt man of the match honours as Tamworth cruised to a 77-run win.
“Ben, he was exceptional,” Tamworth Veterans Cricket president and player Greg Kellett said.
“On Friday night when we had the 50s game, he said he was bowling a bit short and then when he tried to get it up full he got hit but yesterday he was hitting the mark.
“Barry Everingham was saying Ben was pitching them on middle and leg and taking the off stump.”
Tamworth had batted first and along with van Aanholt, eight batsmen in total pushed into double figures.
Tom Kellett (37 retired) was the best of the lot followed by Barry Everingham (31 retired), van Aanholt and Chriss Crowell (21).
The contributions saw Tamworth post 5-204 from 40 overs.
Greg Kellett (2-17) opened with van Aanholt to reduce the hosts to 5-23.
Coffs hit back but it wasn’t enough as they finished on 127 after 40 overs.
The Tamworth veterans will next take on Gunnedah at Riverside 3 on Sunday starting at 10am.
Team: T Kellett, S Beaton, G Davies, B van Aanholt, S Hobden, S Massey, M Cashman, P Boyd, T Murphy, B Everingham, G Kellett, I Kitching.
A Christmas gathering will follow the game at the Cricket House.
