Peter Cousens, Tamworth-born and much-loved performer is making his way home as special guest artist at Christmas At The Capitol, a family concert to celebrate the festive season.
Also featuring the wonderful sound and backing of the 2340 Big Band and with performances by Tamworth City Dance Academy, Gabriela McDonald, Peter Ross, Kate Armstrong, Natacha Curnow, Rob Christmas, Ann Walsh, and more, Christmas at the Capitol will be a true community event.
Bring the whole family to this wonderful festive concert with a host of Christmas carols and so much more.
And heading our way on December 13 at Capitol Theatre is Menopause The Musical, a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived “The Change”.
Since its first performance, the show has evolved as a “grassroots” movement of women who deal with life after 40 and all the challenges they conquer mentally, physically and spiritually.
Many of the audience members have come back time and time again to join with their sisters in this 90 minute, one-act laugh-a-thon.
Maybe the attraction is the songs that everyone grew up with – The Great Pretender, Only You, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Stand by Your Man, I Will Survive and 20 more – all sung with gusto and all with their “new” lyrics. Or maybe it is the realisation that there is a wonderful life waiting after “The Change”.
Come and see for yourself. You’ll leave the theatre uplifted and joyous.
US country superstars Kip Moore and Lee Brice have revealed they will embark on a national co-headline tour in April 2018.
In addition to their already-announced appearance at Winton’s Way Out West Fest, the international hit-makers will visit Tamworth as part of their Australian tour, tearing up the stage for an all-ages show at TRECC on Monday, April 23.
Multi-platinum singer-songwriter and one of country’s hottest stars, Kip Moore returns to Australia for the third consecutive year, with a new album under his belt. Released in September, Slowheart has garnered praise from Rolling Stone.
The partly self-produced 13-song collection is evocative and profound, a warm and honest embrace of Moore’s rugged rock roots and a showcase for his innate poetic prowess.
Multiple Grammy Award nominee and CMA and ACM award-winner Lee Brice makes his return visit to Australia in April.
Across three studio albums, Brice has chalked up sales in excess of 11 million, spawning five platinum and double-platinum chart-topping radio hits in A Woman Like You, Hard To Love, I Drive Your Truck, I Don’t Dance and Drinking Class.
Released last month, Lee’s 15-track self-titled record is his fourth studio offering and most evocative to date.
