About 30 homes registered for the Garage Sale Trail on all corners of the city and set up shop to offload some of their unwanted belongings.
Even the local kids got in on the business venture with many setting up their own stalls to garner some extra pocket money for the weekend.
Locals were quick to snap up children’s clothing, assorted gardening tools and furniture, camping gear and even a couple of cars were thrown into the mix as the sale trail got into full swing.
It was a wet and slow start for some hopeful salespeople while others reported early crowds and soaring sales on Saturday morning alone.
The Garage Sale Trail is a national event which saw hundreds of towns signing up to the project and effectively preventing more items moving to landfill.
