The 21-year old from the Hunter Valley joins a roster of award-winning artists including Adam Eckersley Band, Imogen Clark, Catherine Britt and Shane Nicholson.
Grave Robber’s Daughter is the first single to be lifted from Forsyth’s highly anticipated debut album. Written by Tori on a plane between Nashville and Texas, the song observes the world around us and the pressures of power and social norms.
Produced by ARIA, APRA and Golden Guitar Winner Shane Nicholson, Grave Robber’s Daughter offers a taste of what to expect from the artist's eclectic mix of self-penned songs, set for release early 2018.
“Being able to release this on the Lost Highway label is a cherry on top of a pretty damn good cake,” Forsyth said.

“To give this album baby a home alongside some of my favourite singer songwriters is an incredibly surreal feeling. Between Shane, the label and my amazing manager, I have a rad team behind this album and I cannot wait to share it with the world.”
Currently supporting Shane Nicholson on his Love and Blood National Tour, Forsyth has enjoyed working with the award-winning producer.
“I'll never forget receiving the message from Shane asking if I was interested in having a meeting with Lost Highway. Fast forward a year and here we are. Working with Shane on this record was a given after he engineered my debut EP and I feel privileged to have him so involved.
“There was a really special energy present while creating the album. Maybe because the opportunity was attributed to Shane’s belief in me in the first place.
“This being my first record, I was very pedantic and head strong about the album that I wanted to create. After the first day in the studio, I realised that Shane and I were on the same page and I'm beyond stoked.”
The video for Grave Robber’s Daughter was produced by Spilting Films and directed by Bradley Murnane.
Shot in Swanhaven, down the south coast of NSW the video is set in the 1950s, following the story of a day in the life of young housewife stuck in a mundane routine of obsessive cleaning, house chores and perfecting her appearance.
The married couple have been struggling to communicate as their relationship survives by material possession, social standards with divorce frowned upon in their community. It portrays the breakdown of a relationship with issues running deep despite the outward appearance of ‘normality’.
Forsyth spent most of her childhood working on the family farm rather than following the crowd.
A lover of yesteryear, with a musical maturity far beyond her years, she released her debut EP Black Bird independently in 2016 after working split shifts seven days a week to save for the recording.
The second single Black Bird became the Hottest Track of 2016 on the KIX Country Network while her follow-up single New Wall reached #2 on the Spotify Viral Chart. Both songs received praise from music websites and radio stations across the globe.
