Two Birds, her latest single released on August 11, is the second taken from her debut album.
It tells the story of a break up, but it’s not all doom and gloom, it is also a story of learning that you can fly with your own wings.
The former Laurieton woman’s music has been described by her fans as a hybrid of Missy Higgins and the Dixie Chicks but with an individual flair and songs reflecting her life experiences.
“My songs are the storybook of my life,” She said.
“Every song has a tale attached and represents specific people, lessons, experiences and feelings I have encountered along the way. These songs are like listening to me sing you the pages of my photo album.”
Her songwriting has garnered the young Inverell artist a finalist spot and semi-finalist spot in the UK Songwriting Contest in 2016 and a Top 30 position in the Australian Songwriting Competition’s country category.
Pay It Forward, released January 2017, showcases these tracks, alongside a number of other original songs and an acoustic version of a much-loved cover.
The first single lifted from the album was Man of the House, inspired by her grandparents.
“I grew up with a big, loving, extended family, and our get-togethers have always been heart-warming and so much fun,” Emma said.
