The minister was in Tamworth for the day where she visited Peter Pan Pre School and Bambini Boutique Childcare.
Her visit was part of a mission to travel the state and meet childcare providers following the announcement of a $435 million investment in early childhood education in this year’s state budget.
The minister said every preschool in NSW will benefit from the ongoing funding, which means more children in towns like Tamworth will have access to quality early childhood education.
“Feedback from the sector is absolutely vital in ensuring programs such as Start Strong continue to benefit local communities and I always prioritise visits to services to hear about key issues they are facing firsthand,” she said,
“It was wonderful to visit Peter Pan Preschool and Bambini Boutique Childcare this week and I commend them on their top-quality services.
“This Government’s investment in early childhood will make it easier for families in Tamworth to access affordable, quality preschool programs.”
“Two days a week of quality early childhood education in the year before school can make a big difference between a child flourishing or struggling in the first year of school – this is especially important for children growing up in regional areas of NSW, like Tamworth”.
