Saturday saw them play North Companions in what DK coach Evan Quaife predicted was going to be a “pretty evenly matched” encounter.
Quaife was spot on with his prediction, the match finishing in a 2-all draw.
The visitors finished with 10 men after Sam Constance received his second yellow card for the game after the break.
Declan Humphreys set up Naran Singh to score the first goal of the game before Northies hit back to draw level at the break.
Quaife said it was in the early stages of the second term when Constance was penalised.
“About 10 minutes into the second half, Sam Constance received his second yellow card, his first one a little bit dubious I thought, second one turns into a red card and then we are down to 10 men,” he said.
“They scored, 2-1 to them.
“Maybe about 10-15 minutes to go, Mitchell Gwynne pushed up from defence and won a penalty and Kirk Burton put it into the back of the net and ended up 2-all.
“As I thought, we are very evenly matched teams.
“We both play a similar style, it is a nice atmosphere, like any game when we play North Companions.”
Constance’s red card rendered him unavailable for the following day’s rescheduled clash with FC.
DK also lost Humphreys and Singh for the Sunday game and the visiting side went down 3-1.
“It was a little bit disappointing with how we played in that game,” Quaife said.
