The Year 11 student is only recently back from touring New Zealand with the Country U18’s side.
They were undefeated in their two games beating West Coast 52-6 and Canterbury 40-8.
Altus will fly out on September 29 on the CHSSA tour and play games in Christchurch, Auckland and Rotorua.
It was a long road to selection for the utility, who can play in the forwards or the backs.
After trialing for the Arinya team and then the North West side, he was selected in the Greater Western side.
From there he went on to Toronto to trial for the NSW state side, and was selected in the development side.
When asked how he felt about his selection Altus said ”he is excited and proud of his accomplishment”.
