Woman, 48, charged with high-range drink driving

A WOMAN who allegedly blew more than four times the legal blood alcohol limit has been charged.

Police were called to reports that a vehicle had “collided with a gutter” in McDonald’s West Tamworth about 7.45pm Saturday.

The vehicle was stopped a short distance away. The driver was arrested and taken to Tamworth police station, where a 48-year-old woman recorded a reading of 0.233. The driver had her licence suspended and confiscated. She was charged with high-range PCA (second offence).
