Camp Wallaby, a grassroots development arm of Australian Rugby, is giving boys and girls between 5 and 14 with a passion for the game the opportunity to ‘train like a Wallaby with a Wallaby’.
The three-day camp will see the participants develop rugby skills and drills with ARU-accredited coaches, culminating in a visit from Wallabies’ Will Skelton and Paddy Ryan on Wednesday.
“The chance to train with your heroes, three days of action packed-rugby with specialist coaches and camping with new friends – what’s not to love about that?,” organiser Andrew Nash said.
A beginners program will develop basic skills for the game, while an advanced program focuses on tackling, clear out and set piece strategies for 10-14 year olds with experience and representative aspirations.
