Red Nose is all about kids – saving their lives – and it was the kids who really went all out.
Among the events were discos held by Goodstart Early Learning Tamworth and by Tamworth Family Day Care (TFDC), and a dress-in-red day at Centrepoint Child Care Centre.
The Goodstart centre director Chloe Speck said the kids had enjoyed a day of red-themed food such as fruit and cupcakes.
They also danced to kid-friendly tunes and played quick games, all provided by Red Nose.
TFDC co-ordinator Narelle Rowe said children and educators held their disco at the PCYC, where they also raised money by selling merchandise and collecting donations.
“We raised about $100 through that,” Miss Rowe said.
“We also played games such as Pass the Parcel and Freeze, and had prizes for the best-dressed child, the best-dressed educator and the best dancer.”
Centrepoint Child Care Centre was populated by small red beings, as all the children turned up dressed in the day’s signature colour.
