In a statement released on Thursday, the company said Ben Scott, its co-founder and managing director, would hold a press conference to outline why Uniplan was choosing to make a massive new investment into a new manufacturing facility in Armidale.
Over the last 18 months Uniplan said it had been researching growth options and had given extensive consideration to moving out of Armidale and closer to a metropolitan area.
Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall, CEO of Armidale Regional Council Peter Dennis and Tim Allerton, the Armidale Business Chamber’s CEO, are all expected to attend the announcement along with Uniplan Group’s management team and staff.
The company employs more than 110 staff at its factory and offices in Myrtle Drive.
