GROUP 4 RUGBY LEAGUE
The longer the match progressed between Uralla and the Magpies at Werris Creek on Saturday the better the Tigers got, and they beat a side who refused to yield by taking the home team’s best shots and then delivering the knockout blow to win 24-14.
Fittingly, the exclamation mark on the Second Division victory was provided by young Tigers hooker Brodie Dexter, whose third try of the afternoon was the match’s best: a dart from dummy half in which he skirted the right touchline and then cut back inside to race some 40 metres and score under the posts.
