A favourite at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, the covers and originals band returns with a show at North Tamworth Bowling Club on Saturday, May 27. Festival punters walked away talking about the energetic stage presence and the harmonies of the band as the rock-infused attitude in their music turned modern day country music sceptics into believers.
Finalists in the 2016 Gympie Music Muster Talent Search, the band will get music lovers up and dancing with their blend of country and rock favourites covering the top US and Australian country acts as well as legendary Aussie rock artists. They have also added originals to their sets and will release their first single, For So Long to on June 5.
Anita Tressider formed Whiskey Business after forming an addiction to modern country after 20 years of performing in pubs and clubs with another band. The band is now a collaboration with Lennie Edgerton on lead guitar and vocals, Romney Watts on acoustic guitar and vocals, Ian Tresidder on bass, and James Dennett on drums.
If you love Lady Antebellum, Brooks & Dunn, Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw, and Sugarland mixed with Beccy Cole and Morgan Evans, North Tamworth Bowling Club is the place to be from 8.30pm on Saturday, May 27.
