DETECTIVES have spent a second day reviewing CCTV and interviewing witnesses after two fights within minutes in Armidale.

Police said an argument erupted in Golgotha St about 11.50am on Sunday between a 27-year-old man and a 45-year-old man.
Police have been told the 45-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his arm and ran from the scene, into a shop in the Girraween shopping village, off Queen Elizabeth Dr.
Once inside, the 45-year-old is believed to have been involved in an argument with a number of other people.
There was a further altercation between a male who had sustained the wound that occurred between him and some other individuals in a local takeaway store.

“There was a further altercation between a male who had sustained the wound that occurred between him and some other individuals in a local takeaway store,” New England Detective Inspector Ann Joy told The Leader.
“Police were called by members of the public present and dispersed the group.
“A male person present at the shop was arrested for affray.”
He was taken to Armidale Police Station and questioned by police before he was released without charge, pending further investigations.
The altercations occurred in front of families, The Leader understands.
Detective Inspector Joy said there was no cause for community concern because the groups were known to one another.
CCTV footage has been examined today and further statements are being taken from witnesses and investigations are ongoing.

“CCTV footage has been examined today and further statements are being taken from witnesses and investigations are ongoing,” she said.
“Police would urge persons who have witnessed the incident in Golgotha St or who saw a male running towards a takeaway store on Queen Elizabeth Dr shortly before midday on Sunday to contact Armidale detectives at Armidale Police Station on 6771 0699.”
Police said the 45-year-old did not require treatment for the wounding.
Investigations continue.
