The marriage woes of Kelly Landry and Bell were laid bare in the Downing Centre Local Court this week, as part of a hearing over an apprehended violence order taken out on her behalf in January.

The Footy Show host Erin Molan has described being "devastated to be dragged into what is a very sad situation".

Ms Landry told the court earlier this week she was suspicious of the sports journalist's relationship with her husband.

She claims she asked him about it after Bell had skippered the maxi yacht Perpetual Loyal to victory in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race last year. Molan was among the star-studded crew.

Molan denied having an intimate relationship with Bell in a statement issued through her employer, the Nine Network, on Tuesday.

But on Thursday night, a visibly upset Molan made a personal statement shortly after the show began.

"It's obviously been a really tough week for me, my fiance and my family ??? we are all devastated to be dragged into what is a very sad situation - but one that doesn't involve any of us," she said, her voice cracking with emotion.

"We're very devastated to be dragged into what is a very sad situation, particularly given the insinuation of an inappropriate relationship.

"And I can assure you there is not one iota of truth to any of the speculation, it is not who I am, and it doesn't reflect the values that I possess, and it is not how I was raised.

"I just want to say to everyone who has sent me messages of support, and who has supported me both publicly and privately, it has meant the absolute world to me and to Sean and has really helped in what has been a very difficult week.

"I don't mean to be self-indulgent because there are people out there who are fighting very tough battles that are far more serious than mine, but thank you for your support."

Earlier on Thursday, a court heard Molan's police officer fiance breached NSW Police policies when he made a statement related to domestic violence allegations against Anthony Bell.

Ms Landry's lawyers released a statement on her behalf on Friday afternoon "in a bid to minimise any misinformation".

"Ms Landry has personal and professional respect for Ms Erin Molan," the statement said.

"During the hearing, questions were put to our client by Mr Ian Temby, SC, as part of Mr Bell's defence to the case brought by the police.

"Our client answered those questions frankly and in the context of her obligations under oath."

The magistrate has reserved his decision on the AVO.
